Another important aspect to Tracie’s practice is her reconstructive medical work with some of London and Paris’s leading plastic surgeons, cosmetic surgeons, dermatologists and prosthetic technicians. Much of this work involves either normalising irregular skin colour, or matching damaged skin to the surrounding area so it blends in naturally.
Working closely with these medical professionals Tracie applies her skill, artistic ability and experience to a wide variety of medical conditions and treatments including alopecia, hair loss and trichotillomania (compulsive hair-pulling); cleft palette, infection-damaged skin, blepharoplasty scarring (from eyelid surgery); sun damage, facial burns and scars, morphoea (raised, thickened skin), discoid lupus, auto-immune skin or hair-affecting disorders and vitiligo (loss of pigmentation).
From time to time Tracy also undertakes the correction of permanent cosmetic work originally carried out elsewhere and which clients feel was inappropriate, or unsatisfactory.
