Cheek Fillers

As we age our cheeks start to flatten, resulting in the loss of the youthful contour and impacting the balance of our facial structure. It also impacts the rest of the face, making the under-eyes appear hollower and creating lines and drooping around the nose and mouth. This is due to the natural reabsorption of some bone and the slipping and loss of natural pads of fat which younger people have.

Cheek Fillers involve a series of small dermal filler injections administered to increase the volume around and above your cheekbones. The treatment creates a more defined looking bone structure, and by injecting volume under the skin, it smooths fine lines and wrinkles.

When performed by an expert, Cheek Fillers can lift and rejuvenate the whole appearance. It can also provide contouring and sculpting.

Loss of volume in the cheeks is an early sign of ageing and can have a huge impact on the rest of the face. Everything shifts downwards, jowls appear and you can start to look older, permanently unhappy or tired.

Cheek Fillers can be used to add or restore volume and definition to the cheek area, lifting and contouring the cheeks, resulting in a refreshed but still very natural appearance.

We advise all clients use Crème Rescue Serum for 2 weeks before treatment to give us the best possible canvas to work from. Crème Rescue Serum should also be used immediately after treatment to speed up healing and as part of your everyday skincare routine for ongoing skin maintenance.

Tracie will complete an in-depth facial analysis and discuss your beauty goals with you. Dermal Fillers are then injected into different parts and layers of the cheeks, depending on where the weaknesses are and the look you are aiming to achieve. Every individual face is unique and it is down to the eye of the practitioner along with the desire of the client to decide where the best areas are to sculpt and contour the cheeks.

New clients often ask how painful fillers are. This really depends on each individual and the fillers required. We use the latest filler product with local anaesthetic in the filler itself – so treatments are now virtually pain free. We also apply a numbing cream before and during the treatment to minimise any discomfort.

We will provide a soothing ice pack if needed and apply Crème Rescue after treatment.

Cheek Fillers are straightforward to perform with minimal discomfort or downtime. There may be some swelling and bruising but this will usually subside in 24 – 48 hours. Bruising can happen with any injectable treatment and bruises can be visible for up to 10 days if they occur.

Results usually last 9 – 12 months, but can last up to two years.
