Filler Dissolving

DISSOLVE UNWANTED DERMAL FILLER

FILLER DISSOLVING

Dissolve Filler

If you have had filler treatments and are not happy with how they look or have lumps or nodules, the treatment can be reversed.

Most Dermal Fillers used in the UK contain hyaluronic acid. Fortunately, hyaluronic acid can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase – a prescription-only medicine that can be injected into the area filler has been placed, dissolving any filler in that area.

Filler Dissolving key things to know

What is Filler Dissolving?

Most Dermal Fillers used in the UK contain hyaluronic acid. Fortunately, hyaluronic acid can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase – a prescription-only medicine that can be injected into the area filler has been placed, dissolving any filler in that area.

The filler will be broken down and will disappear in a matter of minutes. However, the results of the treatment are usually only apparent after 24 hours (once any swelling has gone down).

This means that if you have had filler treatments and are not happy with how they look or have lumps or nodules, the treatment can be reversed.

Why have your Filler dissolved?

If you are unhappy with your Dermal Filler then having them dissolved is quick and effective. There are many reasons that you may want them dissolved:

  • The area has been over-filled
  • The filler has migrated or moved to other areas
  • Lumps and bumps have formed
  • The area is asymmetrical
  • You’ve experienced an allergic reaction or infection
  • Just because its sometimes considered good practice to remove remains of old filler and replace after 2-3 years

What do I need to know about the Filler Dissolving treatment process?

We advise all clients use Crème Rescue Serum for 2 weeks before treatment to give us the best possible canvas to work from. Crème Rescue Serum should also be used immediately after treatment to speed up healing and as part of your everyday skincare routine for ongoing skin maintenance.

Dissolving filler is a very quick and simple treatment. After your initial consultation Tracie will inject hyaluronidase into the area that needs the filler dissolved – which will get to work immediately!

What is the recovery like after Filler Dissolving?

There is no ‘downtime’ following the Filler Dissolving treatment and you can go about your normal day. Bruising and swelling is common post-treatment, but these effects are temporary.

Bespoke Aesthetics Consultations

At Tracie Giles London we offer bespoke aesthetics consultations where clients can meet with Tracie Giles to create a unique treatment plan that achieves their beauty goals and ‘turns back the clock’ if possible.

This face-to-face consultation is completely ‘client focused’ to help explore which advanced aesthetic treatments can work for you, including an in-depth explanation of the available treatments on offer, what they involve and which we believe will be best suited to you. During the consultation Tracie will discuss and assess your aspirations for areas of improvement, possible enhancements, and you will leave with a summary of realistic expectations for each procedure or skin protocol.

Often for clients aged of 30 – 60+, Tracie recommends that you bring a close up facial photo taken 10-20 years ago so that a detailed analysis can be completed to identify your extrinsic and intrinsic ageing pathway.
