A Carbon Laser Peel typically involves the following steps.

1. Carbon lotion. First, a dark-coloured cream with a high carbon content will be applied to your skin. The lotion is an exfoliating treatment that helps prepare the skin for the next step. As the lotion dries, it bonds with dirt, oil, and other contaminants on the surface of your skin.
2. Pulsed laser. Next is a pulsed laser that is used to break down the carbon. The laser destroys the carbon particles and any oil, dead skin cell, bacteria, or other impurities on your face that the carbon has bonded to. The heat from the process also signals a mild inflammatory healing response in your skin. This stimulates collagen and elastin production to making your skin firmer and smoother.

Unlike most skin peels, there is virtually no downtime following the Laser Carbon Peel. However some tips to follow after your peel include:

• Treat your skin gently after getting a Laser Carbon Peel by continuing to moisturise daily. We recommend using Crème Rescue Serum.
• It’s normal to see some flaking or experience dryness for a few days.
• Use sunscreen regularly with at least SPF 30+ for long lasting results.
• Avoid using excessively active products containing retinol or acids for at least 7 days after treatment.
• Do not exfoliate or use any abrasive or invasive skin treatments for at least 7 days post treatment.

If you have sensitive skin, you may experience a slight pinking or reddening of the skin immediately after treatment. This usually lasts for one hour or less.
