Stretch Mark & Scar Camouflage

Conceal your stretch marks and scars with our revolutionary camouflaging techniques.

Stretch marks are common skin conditions that appear as thin, silvery-white lines on the skin. They are often caused by rapid weight gain or loss, pregnancy, or hormonal changes. While they are not harmful, many people find them aesthetically unappealing. You may have also undergone essential or elective surgery that may have left you with scars or uneven skin tone that you would like to correct and conceal, and the team at Tracie Giles London can help with that.

We have two types of camouflaging techniques – an ‘Inked’ and ‘Inkless’ method that can help conceal the appearance of stretch marks and scars. The method of camouflage you will be suitable for depends on the type and age of your stretch marks and scars. All scar tissue is unique, and a thorough consultation is required to determine the best treatment option for you. A patch test is required to assess suitability for our ‘Inked’ method.

'Inked' Method

An iconic symbol of beauty, an expertly positioned Beauty Spot can help to accentuate your features and enhance your appearance. If you aren’t lucky enough to have a perfectly positioned Beauty Spot naturally, we are able to create this for you with Permanent Makeup. The results are incredibly realistic and will heal to a beautiful, soft Beauty Spot indistinguishable from the real thing!

The most popular places for a Beauty Spot Tattoo are just above the lip, on the cheek, or high on the cheekbone (just like this Beauty Spot Tattoo we created for fitness influencer Courtney Black!). We recommend experimenting with a conventional makeup pencil first and wearing your Beauty Spot in the same location every day to ensure you are happy with the placement before choosing to have this applied with Permanent Makeup.

Camouflage tattooing is a technique that can help to minimise the appearance of stretch marks and scars. It involves depositing pigments into the skin to blend with the surrounding tissue, creating a more even appearance. This method of camouflage is best suited to scars or stretch marks that are older than 12 months old.

We utilise the latest cutting-edge technology that uses a patented device to read your skin tone. We use this reading to mix a bespoke blend of pigments that match your surrounding skin tone. Then, using a specialised tattooing technique we deposit the pigment over the top of the stretch marks or scarring, making the marks appear less visible, resulting in a seamless camouflage result.

'Inkless' Method

Some stretch mark and scar camouflage doesn’t always require coloured pigment to be added to the skin. Our ‘Inkless’ technique uses a specialised form of microneedling paired with a bio-stimulating serum to boost collagen production in the affected areas. This process can reduce the appearance of the scar or stretch marks, smoothing out the surface and helping them blend in to the surrounding tissue.

This method is best suited to newer scars or stretch marks that have fully healed, and is particularly effective if the scars or stretch marks are red in appearance as this can help to gradually lighten and soften the affected skin.
