What is Microneedling?
+
Microneedling is a safe, minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment that works to improve the condition of the skin from within by boosting the skin’s own healing mechanisms.
Microneedling uses tiny sterile needles to puncture the skin in a comfortable and controlled fashion, creating thoughts of micro-injuries in the skin to trigger the body’s wound healing process facilitating natural repair and growth.
By stimulating this process in this way, the skin undergoes a cascade of damage and repair producing healthy tissue including collagen and elastin. The result of improving the skin’s collagen and elastin reserves leaves the skin smoother, brighter, even toned and strengthens the skin.
It can improve the skin’s overall health as well as treat various conditions, including:
- Acne Scars
- Brown Spots
- Stretch Marks
- Pigmentation
- Fine Lines & Wrinkles
- Sun Damage
- Enlarged Pores
- Loose Skin
The outcome is beautiful, youthful looking skin.

What do I need to know about the Microneedling treatment process?
+
We advise all clients use Crème Rescue Serum for 2 weeks before treatment to give us the best possible canvas to work from. Most clients do not experience pain during the treatment, and we will apply a numbing cream before we begin to minimise any discomfort. We will apply Crème Rescue Serum after treatment and a cold recovery mask.
After the procedure your body will start to naturally regenerate and repair the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. This takes time as new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It can take up to 6 weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a natural and long lasting enhancement. We recommend that your SkinPen Microneedling treatment consists of a series of 3 sessions with approximately 6 weeks between each. When treating scarring 6 sessions may be necessary.
A thorough consultation before starting the treatment course is given to determine the amount of treatments needed as well as the intervals at which they will be carried out. Specific treatments considerations and desired skin results will be discussed, the skincare professional may also advise additional treatments that could speed up your desired results.
What is the recovery like after Microneedling?
+
There is no ‘downtime’ following the Microneedling treatment. You may experience some redness but this will usually go within 24 hours. Crème Rescue Serum should also be used immediately after treatment for maximum absorption and to speed up healing, and as part of your everyday skincare routine for ongoing skin maintenance.
Bespoke Aesthetics Consultations
At Tracie Giles London we offer bespoke aesthetics consultations where clients can meet with Tracie Giles to create a unique treatment plan that achieves their beauty goals and ‘turns back the clock’ if possible.
This face-to-face consultation is completely ‘client focused’ to help explore which advanced aesthetic treatments can work for you, including an in-depth explanation of the available treatments on offer, what they involve and which we believe will be best suited to you. During the consultation Tracie will discuss and assess your aspirations for areas of improvement, possible enhancements, and you will leave with a summary of realistic expectations for each procedure or skin protocol.
Often for clients aged of 30 – 60+, Tracie recommends that you bring a close up facial photo taken 10-20 years ago so that a detailed analysis can be completed to identify your extrinsic and intrinsic ageing pathway.
